My name is Mila Baumann and I am currently a junior studying composition and film scoring at NYU. I began playing violin in second grade, which eventually led me to a conservatory education; and it was there that I discovered my passion for composition.
In 2021 I was selected for the Los Angeles Philharmonic's Composer Fellowship Program, an experience that deeply shaped my artistic voice and gave me the opportunity to work alongside world-class musicians and mentors.
My current interests lie in contemporary classical music, particularly in exploring how the boundaries between music and sound can be blurred through extended techniques and the integration of electronic tools.
